Looking Back and Ahead: Half-Term News
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we reach the end of our first half term, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your warm welcome and continued support. It has been a fantastic start to the school year, full of energy, learning and a strong sense of community.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve enjoyed visiting classrooms, attending assemblies and witnessing the enthusiasm with which our pupils approach their learning. Our dedicated staff have worked tirelessly to deliver engaging lessons and create a nurturing environment, guided by our school motto and HEART rules.
Sadly, we have also faced some difficult moments. The recent loss of Conall Donnelly, a valued member of the Killeeshil community, has reminded us of the importance of compassion, care and togetherness. I have been deeply moved by the way pupils, staff and families have supported one another during this time.
Looking ahead, we have plenty to look forward to in the coming months, including school trips and exciting events. These include the Halloween Disco this Thursday, 30th October (organised by the Killeeshil Young Musicians) and our Christmas Carol Service on Thursday, 18th December at 7pm. In addition, on Monday you will receive a letter inviting you to your Parent-Teacher Meeting, which will take place on Friday, 21st November 2025.
I hope you all enjoy the remainder of the Halloween holidays, and please keep Clare and her girls in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Kind regards,
Mrs Helen Lavery
