A Great Start to Primary 4
What a fantastic start to our year as Primary 4s we have made!
Primary 4 children have been learning about the importance of listening and really hearing what is being shared. They have been participating in drama scenarios where they are beginning to recognise that body language plays a role in the way messages are received by others. These skills will be very useful when canvassing for election to school council, within the classroom setting.
In all our activities the children are encouraged to give reason for their choices, this allows for reflection and encourages communication within the safety of the classroom. Fun investigations using Numicon materials have been full of conversation.
Our introduction to Houses and Homes has allowed many children their first experience of being able to create and share personal work with their class. A huge achievement for any child!
