What a fantastic time Primary 1 had with the Gruffalo! When we read the story, some of the words magically fell off the page, and Julia Donaldson invited us to be the authors! We had so much fun rewriting the words on her page, exploring rhyming patterns and descriptive language. Miss Cush was super impressed with our creative ideas!
Then, the Gruffalo set us a fun challenge to make Gruffalo crumble in the mud kitchen. We jumped right in, using grass, mud, stones, flowers and dirt to create our tasty treat! After that, we drew our recipes and practiced identifying and writing the beginning and ending sounds of each ingredient.
Finally, we made our very own Gruffalo using paper bags and junk materials from our classroom. We even worked on labeling different parts of our Gruffalo creations! It was an exciting day filled with imagination, learning, and lots of messy fun! We can't wait for our next adventure!
