A Time to Rhyme in Primary 1
Primary 1 have been loving their topic ‘A time to rhyme’. We have been looking at ‘Humpty Dumpty’ over the past couple of weeks. They carried out an egg experiment in which they gathered up lots of different materials from around the classrooms such as lids, lego, feathers, pomp poms and blocks. They placed Humpty inside a bag and then they had to predict whether Humpty would crack or stay the same when he fell off the wall. The children had so much fun with this experiment.
The children then created their own Humpty Dumptys. First they had to paint their egg. Next, they had to give Humpty a face, legs and arms. As their Humpty’s had fallen off the wall, they had to give poor Humpty some plasters to make him feel better again.
Today, the children got a special treat as they made scrambled eggs in school. They helped Miss Cush and Shannon set up all of the equipment and got the ingredients ready. The children were excellent helpers and made the most delicious scrambled eggs! Their favourite part was when they got to eat their eggs with a slice of toast. They were so kind and even made some for Paula, Mrs Quinn and Michelle. Yummy!
Well done Primary 1. You have had a very busy first month of school.
