Boxes in the Attic P3 Trip
The Primary Three children enjoyed a fabulous trip to the Palace Stables today and learned all about what it was like to live in Victorian times!
They discovered aspects of life in the recent past through a variety of memory boxes containing household artefacts. The children found out about life in “The Big House” and followed a mystery trail to discover aspects of life from the past.
The children had the opportunity to meet the School Master and experienced what school would have been like back then, sitting in an old style classroom and writing on slates, using chalk. Not everyone was impressed with how strict the rules and punishments were back in those days!
The children enjoyed meeting the butler too and learned about the people who worked in the Big House during Victorian times.
It was an interesting and fun filled day, finishing off with some relaxing time in the play park!
Please enjoy the photographs of our trip!
