Children's Mental Health Week- Primary 1
For Mental Health Week, Primary one began to think about 'looking on the bright side.' Even though things are very different and strange for the children at the moment, the boys and girls are looking on the bright side, still having lots of fun and learning new life skills at home such as cooking and farming. The children also explored themselves, their attributes, talents and what makes them special. It can be very easy to say the things we are bad at, but it can be difficult to say the things we are good at. The boys and girls had to look at themselves in the mirror and draw one thing they liked about themselves. Finally, to mark the end of Mental Health Week, the children watched a video from the movie 'Inside Out' and identified the various feelings we have and how it affects our body. The children then created their own feelings monsters and gave them a name.Miss Holland was delighted with the fantastic work completed by Primary 1 last week! Well done to all the boys and girls. Please see the video showcasing some of the children’s work.
