Coding Kids
This week the pupils in St. Mary’s had lots of fun taking part in National Coding Week.
Coding is how we communicate with computers and is used behind the scenes for many things we use on a daily basis. It’s what is used to build and run websites, apps, video games and more.
This week the children learned that Coding is a set of instructions through which you will guide the computer to do what you want it to do.
The children took part in a range of fun and engaging coding activities which encouraged their creativity and developed their collaboration, communication and problem solving skills.
“Everyone should learn how to code, it teaches you how to think.” (Steve Jobs)
