A large number of schools turned up to Dungannon Park to take part in the area heat of the Primary Schools Championships. The boys were first up and a very competitive race took place over the 1200m course. It was a brilliant finish for Aodhan in P7 who finished 4th narrowly missing out on the qualifying places. The girls' race was an equally tough race with our own Eva McKenna striding home in first place closely followed by Neve Canning in 4th, Annaleigh McKenna in 5th and Alanna Howland in 7th. This was a brilliant achievement to have 4 girls in the top 10 and secured the 1st prize in Team Competition. The highlight of the day was the fun run and our P7 children had a great time covering the course. Thank you to the Mid Ulster Council for hosting the competition and good luck to our girls in the District finals.
