E-Safety Workshops
Today we welcomed Eleanor from REIM to St. Mary's Primary School. Eleanor delivered an e-safety workshop to all the Primary 6 and Primary 7 children. The workshop covered lots of important topics, including recognising the positive and negative aspects of internet use, knowing what personal information is and the importance of keeping this private, understanding the importance of password protection, recognising who is a trusted adult and understanding the dangers of chatting to strangers online. The children also had the opportunity to discuss the appropriate use of Social Media sites and Cyber-Bullying.
The workshop was very engaging and informative and the children now have a greater awareness of how their online life can affect their real life.
Thank you to Eleanor for delivering this fantastic programme and we look forward to the Parent Workshop tonight.
