Feel Good Friday- Virtual Assembly
The theme of this week's Feel Good Friday Virtual Assembly is World Maths Day. World Maths Day aims to get children excited and enthusiastic about learning Maths!
World Maths Day was celebrated on Wednesday 3rd March but since we were focusing on World Book Day, 1st March - 5th March, we wanted to give maths its own special spotlight!
So, next week, St. Mary's have planned lots of fun, active and engaging activities to inspire the children to become more aware and involved with number and maths in their everyday life.
As part of our celebration, Miss Scullion has set the children a Feel Good Friday challenge!
The children are being encouraged to look around and search for numbers in the real world. The children are being asked to send in a photo of their number, from 1 - 100, to their class teacher on Google Classroom. The challenge is to see how much of the 100 square, we as a school can fill with real life pictures.
We encourage the children to keep an eye out throughout the week, to see what numbers have already been found and added to the 100 square.
Different activities have been planned for next week to celebrate World Maths Day, so keep an eye on Google Classroom throughout the week!
We hope you enjoy World Maths Day 2021!
