Congratulations to all of the First Communicants from St. Mary's Primary School, who celebrated their First Holy Communion today, in The Church of the Assumption, Tullyallen. All of the children carried out their duties so reverently and are a credit to their families. Today, on the Feast of the Assumption, Our Lady was certainly smiling down on us all and we were blessed with the most beautiful weather.
Thank you to our Primary 4 teacher, Mrs Donna Quinn and Mrs Margaret Rafferty for organising the ceremony and preparing the children so well. Thank you also to our Primary 4 parents, who have been working so hard with the children at home and helping to prepare them for their very special day.
Today's ceremonies were enriched by the beautiful singing and music. A huge thanks to our musicians and singers- Miss Michelle Scullion, Miss Catherine Holland, Cara Mc Elvogue, Aisling Mc Elvogue and Michael Quinn.
Thank you to Seminarian, Stephen Wilson, who joined us for our First Holy Communion Ceremonies.
Finally, a special word of thanks to Father Hannigan for celebrating both ceremonies today and making the occasion so special for the children.
