Green Day in Primary 6

We had a great “Green Day” at school today investigating, problem solving and using our team work skills.

We were challenged to complete some creative, interactive and fun St Patrick’s Day themed tasks. 

Task: How many counties does each county border? Show your findings in table format, bar chart and pictogram.

Task: Help the leprechaun hide his pot of gold under your rainbow. Paint the rainbow BUT you only have the three primary colours to work with.

Task: Predict how many coins it will take to sink the leprechaun’s pot.

Task: Create a tune as a group using the colourful music notes. Can you play it for the class?

Task: Predict what will happen if you mix yellow vinegar with blue baking soda? Discuss the findings.

Task: Absorption experiment to see which is the best material to soak up the primary colours. Predict what will happen using tin foil and tissue paper. Let’s leave it over night and see.

Task: We also worked with the map of Ireland finding all the counties of Ireland.
