St Mary’s Awarded Eco-Schools Green Flag Status
Congratulations to our Eco-Council who were awarded the Green Flag status at a ceremony in Dungannon today.
Some of our Eco-Council members collected this award which was presented by Frank Mitchell and Dominic Molloy.
Our council members were then treated to lunch and learned about new initiatives coming up which they will be able to take part in to help our environment even more.
We are so proud of our pupils who care deeply about environmental issues and wish to make our school more environmentally friendly.
One of the Eco Council’s biggest achievements this year was the creation of the Sensory Garden, helping to improve biodiversity in the school grounds.
Our Eco Council led by Mr McErlean has worked incredibly hard to achieve this honour. Earning the Eco Schools Green Flag Award takes commitment and a desire to make a difference. The pupils should be so proud of their work!
Well done everyone!
