It's A Disaster - Primary 6
As part of their ‘It’s A Disaster’ topic, the Primary 6 children have been busy learning about natural disasters and, more specifically, exploring volcanoes.
Each of the children made a fantastic report based on a volcano. They decided which subheadings they wanted to research and present information on and some of the children even provided a glossary for technical vocabulary.
Another element of this topic involved the children creating their own volcanoes and making a volcanic eruption by creating a reaction using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar. This was a lot of fun. The children enjoyed using papier-mâché, painting their volcanoes and finally making the mixture react.
Teaghan, Cahir and Mia even decided to make their own volcanoes at home. How artistic are they?
