On Sunday 19th of June many parishioners and members of our school community took part in a 5K walk in Aid of Mary’s meals.
Mary’s Meals serves nutritious school meals to children living in some of the world’s poorest countries. The promise of a good meal attracts these hungry children into the classroom, giving them the energy to learn and hope for a better future.
£15.90 is all it costs to feed a child for a whole school year with Mary's Meals.
Recently our P6 class participated in the “Make £5 Grow" initiative and as a class they made an amazing profit of £602.33!
Today we welcomed Mrs Anne Marie Keown to St Mary’s and our Primary 6 pupils were delighted to donate some of their profits to Mary’s Meals. Mollie Cait, Padraig and Caoimhe presented Anne Marie with a donation on behalf of the Primary 6 class.
Mrs Quinn was also delighted to present a donation to Mary’s Meals on behalf of the school and friends of St Mary’s who sent in very generous donations.
