Odd Socks Day!
Anti-Bullying Week takes places this week from 14th to 18th November 2022 and has the theme 'Reach Out'. The theme of 'Reach Out' came about following consultation by the Anti-Bullying Alliance. Teachers and children wanted a theme that empowered them to do something positive to counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes.
Anti-Bullying Week will remind everyone whether it’s in school, at home, in the community or online, let’s reach out and show each other the support we need.
- Reach out to someone you trust if you need to talk.
- Reach out to someone you know is being bullied.
- Reach out and consider a new approach.
Anti-Bullying Week began today with Odd Socks Day. Staff and children wore their odd socks to school today to celebrate what makes us all unique.
What is Odd Socks Day?
Odd Socks Day is designed to be fun! It’s an opportunity to encourage the children to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique! Odd Socks Day celebrates not only the freedom to wear whatever kind of socks the children want, but it also makes a statement about embracing differences and being kind to people instead of bullying them for being unique.
