P1s exciting adventure with Goldilocks
The past few weeks in Primary 1 have been absolutely thrilling! We arrived at school one day to discover a mysterious crime scene. It was clear that someone had been there, but who? There were oats scattered across the floor, locks of golden hair and chairs flipped over. That's right – it was Goldilocks!
We quickly put on our detective hats and got to work. Each of us created wanted posters filled with illustrations and descriptive vocabulary to showcase what Goldilocks looked like. “She has long, golden hair and wears a blue dress!” we said. Once we finished, we proudly hung our posters around the school for everyone to see.
Next, we teamed up in pairs for a soft and hard materials hunt around our toy room. We looked for items that felt soft, like the fluffy teddy bear, and hard, like the shiny, wooden block. Using comparative language, we described the differences: “The teddy is softer than the block, but the block is harder than the pillow!”
To top off our Goldilocks adventure, she left us some special ingredients to make our very own porridge, just like the Three Bears! We mixed everything together and it was simply yummy!
What a fantastic time we had with Goldilocks!
