Selfie Symmetry!
P4 have been investigating symmetry this term. We looked at photos of symmetry in nature and then we made our own symmetrical patterns using numicon, 2d and 3d shapes. Our next challenge was to get creative and draw our own symmetrical pattern with one line of symmetry. Finally, we were given a black and white photo of our face. This was cut vertically into 2 halves.
We had lots of fun observing our faces and matching one half to our classmates opposite half.
Our next task was to complete a self portrait. We were given only one half of our face as a guide. We had to measure, check and mark- make to complete our portrait. Our final pieces were amazing and we displayed them in the corridors. Learning about symmetry was certainly creative and fun.
