P4 enjoyed a wonderful STEM lesson outdoors investigating friction.
Firstly, we had to predict which surface would create the most friction for the toy car to travel furthest. We tested several different surfaces wood, foam, bubblewrap, grass and sandpaper. The toy cars were released down the ramps and we had to take turns and work together to measure the distance travelled and record the information. Finally we evaluated our predictions to see if they were accurate.
We had a lot of fun completing this investiation together in the sunshine.
