Today the P3 children had a lovely outdoor lesson in the sunshine. We planted a range of vegetables in our polytunnel in school. The children were able to understand how to choose suitable vegetables and herbs to grow including lettuce, parsley, basil and tomatoes. They were able to learn how to prepare the soil, how to plant the seeds and space them out properly and recognise that plants need to be watered regularly in order to grow!
We look forward to seeing our vegetables and herbs grow in the next few weeks!
