This week the children in St. Mary's have been celebrating the beginning of the Season of Advent. Advent means "coming" and the children have been very busy getting ready for the coming of Jesus at Christmas. The boys and girls have been making Advent wreaths, setting up the crib, creating Nativity scenes, listening to Nativity stories and singing Christmas hymns. Each class have been dedicating more time to prayer and reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas and how we prepare for the arrival of Jesus during the season of Advent.
