Primary 3 had an exciting start to STEM Club this week when they created their own lava lamps.
We developed lots of scientific skills such as predicting, measuring and observing. We used water, oil and food colouring and finally added a fizzy tablet in to see our lava lamps in action. We discussed the density of the water and how the oil floated on top of the water. It was fun watching what happened when we added the different ingredients and using the torch to see our lava lamp come to life!
