Today we held our first Swap Shop and it was a resounding success! Our school community came together this morning to exchange items and support Air Ambulance NI.
Over the past few weeks our school community have been bringing in lots of useful things including children’s clothes, toys and books. Everyone was invited to drop in today and take home whatever they wanted for free. With so many fantastic, good quality items being donated, there really was something for everyone!
We are delighted to say that the Swap Shop was embraced wholeheartedly by the local community. The event has helped families from across the Parish. It has helped not only with things not going to landfill but also it has enabled members of our local community to save money.
Nothing from the Swap Shop will be wasted - any items left at the end will be given to local charity shops.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing Eco-Council led by Mr Mc Erlean, and Margaret for organising this fantastic and highly successful event!
We would also like to thank our parents and wider school community for donating to our Swap Shop and for your very generous donations to Air Ambulance!
We look forward to welcoming Mr Damien Mc Anespie, on behalf of the Air Ambulance,to school later in the week to accept the donations made by our school community.
