THE CABRAGH CUP 2024

13th Jun 2024

Today we hosted our annual Cabragh Cup Football Competition at Killeeshil GFC. 12 teams took part and although conditions weren't great the display of skill on show was very high.

A huge thank you to all players, coaches and helpers who made Cabragh Cup 2024 a great success. We were entertained with a great standard of football throughout the day and played in great spirit.

The competition had three sections.

Congratulations to Edendork on winning the Quinn's Corner Cabragh Plate after beating St.Brigid's Altamuskin in a very competitive final.

Congratulations too to St. Patrick's Roan for their win in the Cabragh Shield final again, after a fantastic game against St.Mary's Ballygawley.

Finally, congratulations to St. Patrick's Donaghmore, who won the Cabragh Cup in memory of Enda Hamill, after a brilliant contest in the final against St. John's Moy.

Many thanks to our own St Mary's Killeeshil GAA for their continued support in developing Gaelic in our school as well as allowing us to use their pitches in the tournament.

Sincere thanks to the community centre for the use of the hall and their facilities.

A special word of thanks to the volunteers who set up the pitch and organised tea, coffee and food and to our four referees who took charge of all the matches today.

Finally, thank you to all the staff from the schools, the supporters and the players for making the Cabragh Cup tournament a great success again this year.

We look forward to hosting you all again in 2025!
