Ulster Orchestra Visit
Today we were delighted to welcome Nigel Ireland from the Ulster Orchestra to St Mary’s!
The show was an amazing interactive experience of images and music and took the children on a whistle stop tour of the instruments of the orchestra - what they look and sound like, the fundamentals of sound and music creation and an exploration of the power of music on imagination and mood.
The children enjoyed listening to an array of music from TV and Movies accompanied by video and images on screen, and during the show, the children got to choose the tunes they wished to hear.
The children particularly enjoyed clapping and singing along to “Happy” by Pharrell Williams!
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Nigel and the Ulster Orchestra for giving our pupils the fantastic opportunity to experience a taste of the Orchestra close-up.!
Our Key Stage 2 pupils are so looking forward to the Ulster Orchestra Concert in the Strule Arts Centre next week!
