World Book Day in St. Mary's.
Today we celebrated World Book Day – with the message for all the children ‘you are a reader‘!
We took part in lots of fun ways to promote reading for pleasure on World Book Day, and all-year round. Children completed tasks such as design a front cover of a book, present their favourite book to their classmates, went on a 'Where's Wally?' hunt around the school grounds and made bookmarks.
The children also enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book character and took their favourite book into school. The staff also enjoyed joining in all the fun! There was great excitement in St. Mary's today!
The children also took part in the Masked Reader competition and enjoyed guessing the identity of each of the masked readers!
